I’m Corinne Bowers

and I am working to reduce climate change-driven flood risk.

I combine my engineering background with tools from climate science and hydrology to quantify the impacts of present and future hydrologic extreme events. I analyze how floods and droughts damage communities and compare the benefits of potential interventions to lessen future impacts. I completed my PhD at Stanford and recently started a Mendenhall postdoctoral fellowship in the Water Mission Area of the US Geological Survey. When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, trying new restaurants, or whitewater kayaking down one of my favorite rivers.
